Sip and Script: Modern Calligraphy for Beginners

We are excited to host a Sip and Script workshop for an afternoon of modern calligraphy and craft beverages. This class is specifically designed for beginners, covering all the basics of pointed pen calligraphy without any previous experience required. You will learn how to use specialized tools, including a nib and pen holder, to create beautiful letterforms and flourishes. The instructor will guide you through every stroke, from basic warm up drills to crafting a full alphabet in a contemporary script style. Whether you are looking to address your own envelopes or just want to pick up a creative new hobby, this session provides all the foundational skills you need.

Sunday afternoon session is relaxed, creative, and social. We are setting up a dedicated workspace in our taproom where you can focus on your lettering while enjoying the company of fellow crafters. It is the perfect opportunity for a unique date afternoon or a creative outing with friends. Your ticket includes a full beginner calligraphy kit to use during the class and take home with you afterward, ensuring you can continue practicing your new skills long after the workshop ends
